The art of Dennis Ropar is a pastiche of iconic imagery, pop-art references and gloriously kitsch colour. Images of sexuality are used to sell classic consumer products, however the art of Ropar extends well beyond each canvas. Ropar markets himself in much the way that a successful sales executive will approach the sale of any product; continued self promotion, self confidence, and an unnerving drive to ensure accessibility. This ethos of marketing and accessibility extends to the point where Ropar has placed himself in the centre of his brand. To purchase a Ropar is not only to purchase a piece of pop-art, it is to buy a piece of self-referential, tongue-in-cheek advertising. Unlike many young pop-artists, Ropar is unique in his insistence on not only creating a livelihood though his art, but also becoming pop-art. He has invested considerable energy into the creation of a documentary, music, fashion and television commercials.

Art is now recognised in the financial world as one of the best investments that can be made, and in true Ropar style, the suggestion that his art has potential to appreciate significantly in value is not understated; "who was to know that Jasper Johns, who sold works in his first show for several hundred US dollars, is now selling pieces for up to $50 million dollarsworld record breaking prices for a living, contemporary living artist". Financial lures aside, there is the additional benefit that a piece of appealing art can bring to the owner/viewer.  Denis Ropar is an Iconic Australian Pop Artist that commands attention.
