A realist painter, Hutchinson typically depicts characteristically attractive people in carefully observed private environments and states of contemplation. In direct contrast to his earlier work with studies of both nudes and still life

his work is inhabited predominantly by attractive urban couples in shrouded or seemingly staged settings. The reflective nature of the private male experience has been replaced by the intense drama and sexual politics of the characters, in an Hopperesque broadening of his artistic range.

We believe Craig is one to watch and has been seductively making head way in to some interesting Australian private collections. We eagerly await his exclusive new collection which we will be proud to announce very soon!
